Classic fairytales are constantly re-skinned for new generations, and remain popular over time. Storybook Slots fills a gap in slot apps for a progressive, multiplayer, family-friendly game. Players select a guild to join upon opening the app for the first time. This becomes their community, with which they can battle, chat, and share their gameplay experiences. The game features six locations: the guild (chatroom), the wishing well, the shop, the tournament grounds, the progressive storybook, and a special events tent to indicate sales and other offers. The two main paths of the game are the storybook and tournaments. In the storybook, players can play and discover new pages (slots games), some of which are continuing chapters of their favorite tales. This incentivizes players to keep playing to collect them all. The tournaments pit three players of two different guilds against each other, in a slot-based game of tug-o-war, resulting in one team winning the whole jackpot. Players can use buffs to either help their team or sabotage their opponents. The leaderboard showcases which players have won the most tournaments and inspire players to represent their guild and play. The chatroom allow players to meet new people and show off their accomplishments through their profile stats and customizable avatars. Finally, the wishing well acts a daily wheel, where players can earn a daily allotment of free bonus coins, and the shop allows players to purchase additional coins, tournament buffs, and decorations for their avatars.
